One of the things I was able to contribute as a member of the Saint Paul Bicycle Coalition was a new logo, some photography and a website. It’s always rewarding to align my design work to the cycling community that has been such an important part of my life.
The SPBC works with cyclists, the public and government to advocate for safer bicycle infrastructure. For this logo i was seeking to put a spin on the idea of a governmental seal. The capitol building represents Saint Paul as the state capital and the focus of the coalitions efforts to improve cycling infrastructure and awareness. There are 17 teeth on the sprocket, representing the 17 neighborhoods in the city.
